  2. General

These terms apply to the purchase of used hi-fi, vintage, and collectible electronic equipment from MABY Development AB, via webshop, email, or other forms of distance selling.

The products are intended for enthusiasts and collectors and are sold with the understanding that older electronic equipment may exhibit characteristics and limitations inherent to its age, design, and technology.

  3. Product Condition & Characteristics

All products sold are used and may be several decades old.

Each product:

• Is function-tested prior to shipment
• Is individually described in the product listing
• May show cosmetic wear, patina, scratches, or discoloration
• May contain original parts, replaced parts, or evidence of previous service, where such information is available

Minor variations in:

• Sound characteristics
• Channel balance
• Mechanical noise (e.g. relays, motors, transport mechanisms)

  4. Original Parts & Modifications

are considered normal for vintage and hi-fi equipment and do not constitute a defect.

Unless otherwise stated:

• The product is sold in original configuration
• Any modifications, upgrades, or non-original parts are disclosed in the product description

  5. Pricing & Payment

Design characteristics, sound signatures, or period-correct technical solutions are not considered faults.

All prices are stated in EURO € including VAT, unless otherwise specified.
Shipping costs are added and clearly stated at checkout.

  6. Shipping & Delivery

Products are packed with special consideration given to:

• Weight
• Sensitive electronic components
• Mechanical assemblies

  7. Warranty – 12 Months

Risk transfers to the buyer once the item has been delivered to the specified address or collection point.

All products include a 12-month functional warranty from the date of delivery.

The warranty covers:

• Functional defects affecting the product’s primary use
• Faults not related to normal ageing

The warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and age-related component degradation
• Consumable parts, including but not limited to:
  • Laser assemblies
  • Pickups / styli
  • Drive belts
  • Batteries
• Sound tuning or preference adjustments
• Damage caused by improper use, post-delivery transport damage, liquid ingress, power surges, or unauthorized repairs or modifications

In the event of a valid warranty claim, MABY Development AB reserves the right to:

1. Repair the product
2. Replace it with an equivalent item
3. Refund the purchase price

  8. Right to Claim (Statutory Consumer Rights)

Under applicable consumer protection laws, customers may have the right to file a claim for up to 3 years, provided the defect is reported within a reasonable time after discovery.

When assessing claims related to vintage or collectible electronics, consideration is given to:

• The age of the product
• Its technical design
• Market value
• Condition as described at the time of sale

  9. Right of Withdrawal (Distance Selling)

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with distance selling regulations.

Conditions:

• The product must be returned in unchanged condition
• The customer is responsible for return shipping costs
• Returns must be approved in advance

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• Custom-ordered products
• Modified or customized products
• Products used beyond normal inspection and testing

  10. Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted only after prior approval from MABY Development AB.
Refunds are issued after inspection of the returned item.

  11. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR and is used solely for:

• Order processing
• Delivery
• Customer support

  12. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, MABY Development AB follows the recommendations of the relevant consumer dispute resolution authority.
Disputes may also be settled by a competent court of law.

  13. Reservation of Rights

MABY Development AB reserves the right to:

• Correct pricing errors
• Update these terms
• Cancel orders due to technical errors or out-of-stock situations
